วันที่ 4 เม.ย. 67 คณะกรรมการกาชาดระหว่างประเทศ (ICRC) สำนักงานภูมิภาคกรุงเทพ นำโดยนางสาวชนิดา เสงี่ยมไพศาลสุข ผู้จัดการฝ่ายสื่อสารองค์กร พร้อมด้วยนางสาวมนสิชา รุ่งชวาลนนท์ เจ้าหน้าที่สื่อสารออนไลน์ เข้าพบและหารือกับตัวแทนกรรมการบริหารสมาคมนักข่าวนักหนังสือพิมพ์แห่งประเทศไทย (TJA) ประกอบด้วย นางสาว น.รินี เรืองหนู นายกสมาคมฯ นางหทัยรัตน์ ดีประเสริฐ อุปนายกฝ่ายวิชาการฯ และนายจีรพงษ์ ประเสริฐพลกรัง เลขาธิการและโฆษกสมาคมฯ
โดยการหารือ สมาคมนักข่าวนักหนังสือพิมพ์แห่งประเทศไทย ได้นำเสนอโครงการและกิจกรรมภายใต้สมาคมฯ ที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้นในระยะเวลาอันใกล้และระยะยาว อาทิ โครงการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการการรายงานข่าวในสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งและภัยพิบัติ หรือ Safety training ที่จะจัดขั้นรุ่นที่ 13 ระหว่างวันที่ 25-28 เม.ย.นี้ กิจกรรมวันเสรีภาพสื่อมวลชนโลก (World press Freedom day) 3 พ.ค. 2567 และโครงการอบรมนักข่าวพิราบน้อยที่จะจัดขึ้นช่วงเดือนตุลาคม-พฤศจิกายน 2567 รวมทั้งกิจกรรมอื่นๆ ที่ทำทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ
ขณะที่ตัวแทน ICRC สำนักงานภูมิภาคกรุงเทพ ยินดีให้การสนับสนันและมีความร่วมมือกับ TJA ในการจัดกิจกรรม อบรมเสริมศักยภาพให้กับสื่อมวลชนไทยในหัวข้อที่เกี่ยวข้องกับภารกิจ ICRC พร้อมทั้งยินดีที่จะใช้โอกาสนี้ขยายความร่วมมือไปถึงองค์กรสื่อต่างประเทศในเครือข่าย TJA อาทิ สมาคมนักข่าวแห่งสปป.ลาว (LJA) สมาคมนักข่าวเวียดนาม (VJA) ซึ่งตัวแทน ICRC สำนักงานภูมิภาคกรุงเทพ ระบุว่าจะนำความคิดเห็นและข้อเสนอแนะกลับไปหารือและพิจารณาความร่วมมือที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต

On 4 April 2024, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Bangkok Regional Delegation, led by Ms Chanida Sa-ngiamphaisalsuk, Regional Communication Manager, and Ms Monsicha Rungchawannont, Digital Officer, met with the executive team of the Thai Journalist Association (TJA). The TJA team included Ms N.Rinee Ruangnoo, President; Mrs Hathairat Deeprasert, Vice President of Academic Affairs; and Mr Jeerapong Prasertpolkrung, Secretary-General and Spokesperson.
The TJA presented its upcoming projects and activities, both short-term and long-term. These included the 13th annual Safety Training (25-28 April), World Press Freedom Day activities (3 May), and the young journalists training programme (October-November). The TJA also mentioned other activities to be conducted domestically and internationally.
The ICRC Bangkok Regional Delegation representatives expressed their pleasure in supporting and collaborating with the TJA on capacity-building activities for Thai journalists in areas related to the ICRC's mandate. They also welcomed the opportunity to expand further this collaboration to foreign journalist associations within the TJA's network, such as the Lao Journalist Association (LJA) and the Vietnamese Journalist Association (VJA). The ICRC stated that it would bring the TJA’s views and recommendations to internal discussions and consider potential future collaborations.
