ทวีตเพื่อความยุติธรรม รำลึกเหตุการณ์สังหารหมู่ในฟิลิปปินส์ 23 พฤศจิกายน แม้เหตุการณ์สังหารหมู่ในมากินดาเนา ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ จะผ่านไปครบ 5 ปีในวันที่ 23 พฤศจิกายนนี้แล้ว ผู้กระทำผิดก็ยังคงลอยนวลอยู่เหตุการณ์ที่รู้จักกันในชื่อ "การสังหารหมู่อัมปาตวน" มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับกลุ่มผู้มีอิทธิพลในการเลือกตั้งท้องถิ่น มีผู้เสียชีวิต 58 คน และในจำนวนนี้เป็นนักข่าวและสื่อมวลชนจำนวน 32 คนที่กำลังเดินทางไปรายงานข่าวเกี่ยวกับการเลือกตั้งองค์กรสื่อจำนวนมากได้จัดงานรณรงค์เพื่อรำลึกถึงเหตุการณ์และผู้เสียชีวิตในเหตุการณ์นี้ และรณรงค์เพื่อความยุติธรรมที่คนผิดต้องได้รับโทษ เพื่อไม่ให้เกิดเหตุซ้ำรอย

Tweet for Justice: The 5th anniversary of the Ampatuan Massacre
2014 campaign to end impunity: Tweet for Justice.
While actions around the inaugural UN Day to End Impunity on 2 November targeted UN mechanisms to exert pressure on all governments, our second set of actions shines a spotlight on one specific, but emblematic, case of impunity: the massacre in Maguindinao, Philippines, commonly referred to as the Ampatuan Massacre, that took place on 23 November 2009.
This year marks five years since the world learned of the brutal attack that left 58 people dead – 32 of them journalists and media workers. Five years, and zero convictions.
The Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility is organising a “Million Candles Campaign” including a vigil on the evening of 23 November, in Manila, and IFEX is running a week-long digital campaign leading up to it.
Starting on 18 November, we are asking people to tweet out demands for justice, using the hashtag #AmpatuanMassacre. But make no mistake – this is a different kind of hashtag campaign.
The IFEX campaign website, daytoendimpunity.org, will feature a digital “wall” from 18 to 23 November with images of the 32 journalists and media workers in the Philippines who perished in the attack. Their images are programmed to fade, but every time a tweet is sent using the hashtag #AmpatuanMassacre, the tweet will appear on the wall and the image will momentarily brighten. On the evening of 23 November the digital wall will be projected live during the candlelight vigil organised in Manila.
Our message: These crimes will not be forgotten.
The failure to convict anyone in the Ampatuan massacre case both reflects and nourishes the culture of impunity, everywhere. Please add your voice and encourage others to join this global action and tweet for justice.
